Clear stock

Most businesses sell products or services, to help you record and keep track of the sale and purchase of your products or services you can create product records.

To make it easy to manage and maintain your stock control you should remove any stock records you no longer use. You can't do this if there is activity within the record. Clear Stock removes all transactions from your product activities up to the date you specify so you can then delete the stock records.

Accounts Plus and Accounts Professional only Before you clear the stock, you should print your Product Valuation and Product Activity reports. The Retrospective Product Valuation report takes its information from the stock transactions so it may not show the correct valuation after you clear the stock.

We recommend you take a backup before you run the clear stock. Find out more
